Caroline Touzeau certainly has a distinct design style, intuition and practicality with a passion for colour. I have known Caroline for many years and her designs always reflect a great combination of colour, pattern and texture creating interesting and unique interiors.

Describe your style in 6 words or less.
Caroline: My design style would be one filled with textures, layers, multi patterned concepts, with a unique sophistication.
Which architects/designers most inspire you?
Caroline: Hecker Guthrie as they are timeless & individual; Tricia Guild, Kit Kemp, Christian Lacroix & Martyn Lawrence Bullard mainly for their love of design and colour.
Who’s a favourite you’re following on Instagram at the moment?
Caroline: Favourites would be regency_revival ,est_living & thedesignfiles for the incredible content they showcase.
What is your go to white interior paint colour?
Caroline: Haymes Modesty White.
What is your most cherished piece at home? (furniture, art, lighting or decorative)
Caroline: One of the more cherished pieces at home would be these set of 3 emerald green Italian glasses from my Grandmother. She ran a licensed grocery store and on her travels abroad would have been gifted them from Dubonnet which is the silver crest on the front. l can see her sitting on her linen Sanderson armchair sipping her Gin and tonic out if these.
If you could splurge on a piece of furniture or art right now, what would it be?
Caroline: My big splurge would be on a local artisan Christopher Boots hanging pendant. An extraordinary designer with unique ideas and exquisite hand made workmanship. The Petra lll features snaking veins in its beautiful pinky coloured quartz with bespoke crystal sourced from overseas quarries.
Do you have a trade tip you can share?
Caroline: Work on forming relationships, whether with your client, suppliers or tradies. This gives you a new level of trust, reliability, professionalism and confidence.
