Standard Chair by Jean Prouve, Vitra Edition 2002.
Vitra’s Standard Chair, originally designed by Jean Prouve in 1934, has a special metal structure inspired by Prouve’s engineering background. As most of the sitter’s weight is carried by chair’s back legs, Prouve decided to place large, hollow steel legs to the back and slim ones to the front of the chair.
Natural finished oak seat with a red metal base, this chair can be used for dining at a desk or as a side chair. Original label on the underside.
