Description:
Classic DCM (Dining Chair Metal), designed by Charles and Ray Eames and manufactured by Herman Miller, featuring a plywood seat and back. The DCM was born out of the Eames' early experiments with moulded plywood in their own apartment back in 1946, and went on to become one of the designs that launched Charles and Ray Eames' careers.
The chairs are in very good condition overall, with only minor marks as shown in the photos. A couple of chairs have had a flexible epoxy applied to secure the rubber mounts, a common and easily recognised repair on chairs of this age.
The set includes four different manufacturing dates, stamped on the back of each chair: 27/3/2002, 3/1/2003, 30/5/2003 and 7/10/2003.
