Anna-Carin McNamara came to Sydney from Sweden with a Masters degree in Interior Design and has since become a passionate specialist in Scandinavian style interiors.
The Sydney based director and founder of Anna-Carin Design Studio has had work featured in a range of interiors magazines, from Habitus Living to Vogue Living and is also author of ‘Make a Home to Love’ a book about how to ‘bring joy, order and beauty into your home the Scandinavian way.’

Anna-Carin: Warm, human centred, enriched minimalism.

Anna-Carin: Alvar Aalto, Scarpa, Adam Goodrum, Claesson Koivisto Rune, Josef Frank.

What is your most cherished piece at home? (Furniture, art, lighting or decorative)
Anna-Carin: The items I can't just replace or easily find again like my Svenskt Tenn sofa and my vintage PH pendant.

What is your go to white interior paint colour?
Anna-Carin: Wattyl Magnesium is my go-to.
If you could splurge on a piece of furniture or art right now, what would it be?
Anna-Carin: Egg Chair in Natural tan leather - vintage of course for that beautiful patina.

Anna-Carin: Beautifying my home by cleaning, pottering, bringing flowers in from my garden and arranging in vases.
