The Sydney-based Director and Principal Designer of Alexandra Kidd Design has had work featured in a range of interiors magazines from Habitus Living to Belle to most recently this year's 25th anniversary edition of the Andrew Martin Interior Design Review.
Alexandra and her team pride themselves on design innovation and uncompromising dedication to quality giving their clients the very best the world has to offer, where creating unique spaces is their obsession!
Alexandra took some time to tell us about what she finds inspiring, her favourite pieces on Collécte and her most cherished possessions.
Describe your style in 6 words or less.
Alexandra: Classic, tailored, comfortable.
Which architects/designers most inspire you?
Alexandra: So many! I have a small group of friends/ contemporaries that catch up regularly … these 3 women inspire me, not just because they create beautiful work, but for their passion, their humanness and that they show up every day and support teams, artists, communities and are open to sharing their frailties and successes. What are your most cherished pieces at home?
Alexandra: My Eero Saarinen Womb chair & ottoman and Meridiani Plinto dining table.

What is your go-to white interior paint colour?
Alexandra: Resene Black White.
If you could splurge on a piece of furniture or art right now, what would it be?
Alexandra: De La Espada Laurel coffee table in marble.

Favourite way to unwind at home?
Alexandra: To unwind at home, I meditate in my womb chair overlooking my private garden courtyard. Or a delicious bath with the doors open enjoying the garden, warm water and fresh air!
Favourite restaurant?
Alexandra: After lockdown, all restaurants are now my favourite restaurant! Fratelli Paradiso, FReD’s, Cho Cho San.
Favourite podcast?
Alexandra: I wish I had time!
