Many of us were glad to see the end of 2020 and have been looking forward to the fresh start of a new year and a new normal!
So much took on a different meaning in the year that was, including our homes, where we spent more time than usual. Sometimes the same space can start to feel stale and worn and in need of a lift.
Here are some simple tips to add some freshness to your home as the new year begins:
Brighten with colour:
Adding a splash of colour with new cushions, a new rug or a fresh coat of paint is relatively simple and can make a big change to a space. Play with tones! Be bold!!
Add some art with heart:
Always a good investment, artworks can immediately lift a room, changing the style and adding a focal point. Colourful prints or a striking sculpture might be all you need.
Switch it up:
Sometimes simply rearranging furniture can be enough to create a fresh look in your home. Switching things between rooms or changing the layout in your space can be a good way to make things feel new.
Find a feature:
Adding a striking designer piece can completely change a space. A new year can be a good time to declutter, get rid of what you no longer want or need and replace with something striking and more suited to your evolving lifestyle.
Lift with Lighting:
Lighting creates ambience and can change the mood in a room. Invest in new fittings or lamps to create a fresh feel.
