Mies van der Rohe iconic Barcelona daybed.
Immaculately kept day bed. It was a decorative piece in our house so it was rarely used. The leather has been polished weekly to maintain it's suppleness. No major dents, scratches. The leather is scratch free. We are downsizing so we need to let go of this beautiful piece.
Designed in 1930, the Barcelona Day Bed shares the same simple elegance as the iconic lounge chair of the same name.
Hardwood frame with protective, clear lacquer finish.
The legs are constructed of tubular steel with polished stainless steel finish.
72 individual leather panels are cut, hand welted and hand tufted, and panels and buttons are crafted from a single hide.
Purchased in 2012. Verified authentic and available now in Melbourne.
