Description:
This iconic J16 rocking chair was designed in 1944 by Hans J. Wegner and manufactured by Frederica. It is a classic example of Danish design with curved and careful detailing, and a high back, inspired by traditional Windsor and Shaker furniture. The chair is made of oak with a woven paper cord seat. Purchased brand new from Great Dane Furniture in Melbourne in 2013, the chair has been a decorative piece in a Designers home over this time. It is in very good original condition with minor wear on the seat, consistent with age. It would be a wonderful and considered addition to any interior, living space or bedroom. Verified authentic and available now.
