Harp Chair

Original harp chair by Jorgen Hovelskov. Made from wood and rope, it is an iconic Danish design piece from the day it launched. This chair is considered a furniture masterpiece, from the triangular wood base to how the rope is seamlessly incorporated into the design. In 1975 we visited Den Permanente in Copenhagen and ordered this Harp chair which was shipped to our home. Den Permanente was the greatest Danish design store that ever existed, 1930-1988, and featured creations by the designer, Jorgen Hovelskov, 1935-2005, during the golden age of Danish furniture. I am the only owner of this chair. However, over the years, the original rope had frayed and the chair was recently re-roped at a cost of $2,000. The chair is made from Ash wood with the original black lacquer. Verified authentic and available now in Melbourne.

Condition Details:
In excellent condition with no signs of wear, has barely been used.
