French 19th Century Hall Stand

This extremely elegant French 19th century Hall Stand would look stunning in a contemporary or traditional interior. Designed to look like bamboo in the Chinoiseries style of the 1880s, the stand is made of polished beech. The piece is in lovely original condition with no repairs or restoration. It is mounted with seven very useful carved coat hat hooks. These are beautifully designed on the top section and have a clever swivel action. The mirror in the centre of the hall stand has a fine burr timber frame and delightful faux bamboo decoration. The well designed platform has spaces to hold umbrellas in place with different shaped holes to slot them into. The original tin drip tray is well mounted into the base of the hall stand and is set into a burr timber frame too. The hall stand is in very good condition and available now in Melbourne.
