Vintage Boch Frères Keramis Pineapple Vase Ananas

Meet Ananas, the French word for Pineapple. This lamp has been lovingly handcrafted from a rare Art Deco Boch Freres Keramis Pineapple vase designed by the legendary Charles Catteau in La Louviere, Belgium. The vase base was made circa 1925-1930 and is identifiable by the Boch marking on the bottom along with the number 1113 which was imprinted into the clay. With a unique geometric design, it is a beautiful cream color with craquelure glaze effects. To give the base a pineapple inspired top, we’ve paired it with a custom made lampshade in a limited edition fabric based on an original 1905 design by John Henry Dearle, William Morris’ main apprentice, one of the founders of the Arts and Crafts movement. Ben Penthreath, renowned designer, has re-imagined and re-colored the pattern for Morris and Co. E27 bulb fitting with a lovely green cord. The Vase is in very good condition, the shade and electrics are brand new. The Lamp is wired to Australian standards. This item ships directly from Amsterdam.
