Claire Driscoll Delmar has an incredible range of creative experience, and the work speaks volumes; some of the expertly curated images almost look like oil paintings.
Driscoll Delmar started her career as a fashion stylist at Marie Claire, later following her passion into styling for interiors. After a foray into teaching, she returned to publications like Inside Out, then spent several years as a freelance stylist while travelling the world. On her return to Australia, Claire started her own Studio CD where she is Creative Director.
Studio CD has had editorial work featured in a range of national and international magazines this year, making the cover of Elle Decoration UK in August. The studio creates character filled spaces with a unique use of colour and materials, expertise that now extends to design projects with some of Australia’s most talented architects.

Describe your style in 6 words or less.
Claire: Relevant, timeless, curated and tonal.
Which architects/designers most inspire you?
Claire: I now gravitate towards French, Scandinavian and brutalist architects, however my journey and love of architecture was initially inspired by the modernist architects.
What is your most cherished piece at home? (Furniture, art, lighting or decorative)
Claire: A 1900’s French marble bust that I received from my closest girlfriends for my 40th birthday.
What is your go to white interior paint colour?
Claire: I actually tend to steer away from white interiors. Instead, I would opt for a soft muted shade of grey. Murobond Paper 25% and Salt 25% are favourites.
If you could splurge on a piece of furniture or art right now, what would it be?

Do you have a trade tip you can share?
Claire: Never presume anything during a build. Always try to pre- empt situations so that you can avoid mistakes.
What are you favourites:
Favourite Instagram account/s you follow?
Claire: I prefer books and inspiration from memories of travel rather than social media.
Favourite galleries or museums?
Claire: The Powerhouse Museum, Gallery Sally Dan-Cuthbert in Darlinghurst, Sabbia Gallery in Redfern, Centre Pompidou in Paris and Tate Gallery in the UK.
Favourite way to unwind at home?
Claire: I love cooking, so that’s one of my favourite ways to unwind. Especially on weekends when I have a little more time to enjoy the process.
Favourite restaurant?
Claire: That’s like choosing a favourite child! I love Asian food so one of my all-time favourites is Cho Cho San in Potts Point and I’m enjoying Middle Eastern food at the moment, so would have to say Ezra.
Favourite podcast?
Claire: I’m so fickle with podcasts, I swap most days depending on how I’m feeling.
